Welcome to Antarctica!

We took this trip over New Year’s, followed with a quick jaunt through the Argentinian side of Patagonia. Our first stop was Buenos Aires for a food tour, tango show, and to meet our expedition team before flying down to Ushuaia and embarking on our two-day voyage across the infamously temperamental Drake Passage. We continued sailing south past the Antarctic Circle to explore the 7th continent by zodiac, helicopter, and foot! In fact, we were officially the southernmost passenger ship in the world and didn’t see another ship for days. After returning to Ushuaia, we flew to Patagonia to explore El Calafate’s massive Perito Moreno glacier and El Chaltén to hike around the iconic Fitz Roy. The wildlife, landscapes, and experiences of this trip were among the best we’ve found in all of our travels and will be tough to ever top!
