Welcome to Spain!

We took a long weekend trip in October to explore Barcelona and the surrounding area in Spain. We started by marveling at the amazing works of Antoni Gaudí including the infamous La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, and Parque Guell before taking the cable car up for the views from Montjuic and ending the day with the Magic Fountain show and plenty of delicious food and beverages. The next morning we wandered through the Mercat de la Boqueria and caught a train for spectacular views at Montserrat. We continued to devour all the pintxos we could find that evening, specifically those from the culinary master Ferran Adrià. The next day we traveled by train to Cadeques so we could better understand why it was an inspiration for Dali. After checking out his local museum, we continued down to Girona and managed to avoid ‘Shame’ at the Game of Thrones’ Catedral. We eventually returned to Barcelona for final feedings and reflection before flying home. Barcelona and its surrounding area is an amazingly delicious and artistic wonderland that should be among the top areas for any traveler!
