Welcome to Japan!

We took a 13-day journey in April through the amazing land of Japan. We began in the urban metropolis of Tokyo to immerse ourselves in ramen and the best sushi we’ve ever experienced at the Tsukiji Market while wandering through amazing temples, parks, and neighborhoods during peak cherry blossom bloom. We then took a bullet train to pay our respects and devour okonomiyaki in Hiroshima, including a day trip over to pet red deer and ogle at the floating tori of Itsukushima Island. We admired the cherry blossoms framing Himeji Castle along our way to indulge ourselves in the temples, food, and hanami of Kyoto while staying at a traditional ryokan. After a few magical days in Kyoto, we returned to Tokyo and further delved into its labyrinth of streets and alleys before taking an overnight excursion to marvel at Mount Fuji and its surrounding temples. Whether it’s the technology, architecture, or culture of passionate artistry, Japan is a special country that will always be near the top of our travel list and there’s no better time to visit than during the cherry blossom bloom!
