We experienced an 18-day adventure in August through the ancient giant that is China! We began by immersing ourselves in Beijing through the Forbidden City and Great wall before taking an overnight train down to Xi'an to take in the Terracotta Warriors and delicious meals and sights throughout the city. A flight over to the magical Zhangjiajie had us exploring the land of Avatar, Heaven's Gate, and a terrifying glass-bottom bridge. We then took a bus to the ancient town of Fenghuang on our way through the Longi Rice Terraces to the karst-framed river town of Yangshuo. We ended up migrating up to Guilin and eventually to the metropolis of Shanghai for views and delicious dumplings. We were both exhausted and elated by the end of this trip!
