We took this trip in late-May to explore Monaco! After a redeye flight to Nice, we drove north along the French Riviera to the small medieval cliffside town of Èze before arriving at our hotel in the French town of Beausoleil; an easy 10-minute walk into the Principality of Monaco. From there we wandered amongst mega yachts, exotic cars, and countless public sculptures and parks throughout Monte Carlo. A few notable attractions included the excellent Oceanographic Museum, changing of the Prince’s guard, classically elegant Monte Carlo Casino, and amazing views from atop Tête de Chien. An added bonus was city transitioning into a proper F1 circuit, as the iconic Monaco Grand Prix was scheduled the following weekend. Overall, Monaco charmed us despite the notoriously abhorrent wealth and reputation as an elitist playground. Well-played, Monaco; well-played, indeed.
