This was a 6-day trip in early October across the Egyptian cities of Cairo and Luxor with an overnight journey through the Black & White Deserts. Although we flew into Cairo, we transfered down to Luxor to begin our exploration through this ancient city and amazing crypts and temples throughout the area via hot air balloon ride and private guided tour. We then migrated back to Cairo to spend a night across the street from the Sphynx (yes, that one!) before departing on an adventure through the surreal landscapes and formations of the Black and White Deserts and spending the night in our own little tent under the stars. We returned back to Cairo the next day via Bahariya Oasis to check into the Mena House which is situated right next to the pyramids in Giza. Our final day had us wandering amongst the pyramids and devouring our way through the Khan el-Khalili bazaar and a food tour before we flew out in the middle of the night. This was a short, but diverse immersion into Egypt’s amazing sights and culture!
